Second big painting of the month has been compleeeted!

This is a concept I have been wanting to execute for some time...and finally got the inspiration to complete it.

Colors: Corel Painter IX
Final touches, edits: Photoshop CS2

The only one I didn't use was openCanvas 3.03E Plus!...

Whoops. *Pets neglected program.*

Anyway, this is Demyx as a mer-dude. Don't ask me what kind of fish he is, because I don't know. My best guess is some kind of weird betta/neon tetra hybrid...thing.

The scales were a long story. You see, I began painting each and every individual one...and then I was like, "hey, *loish made cool mermaid pictures... *goes to look at for influence*"

He's so shiny. :heart:

Bubble brushes / underwater waveythinger brushes courtesy of =kaykaykit. Awesome brushes, by the way.

thats so beautiful... I love the detail and the musculature of his body *envy* grrr...hands and anatomy are not my friends. The water effect is wonderful in the weightlessness and lighting too
