Hey everyone. To explain my last poll, Auld Lang Syne came up on my Christmas radio on Pandora. I was a little perturbed that song would be in a Christmas category since I've always seen it as a New Years celebration song.

Also, I learned how to make a Colgate-flavored drink at Starbucks:

Order a venti-sized, triple-shot, three-pump iced mocha with one pump of peppermint and one pump of gingerbread. Tastes like toothpaste.

Anyway, I'm going to go see Trans-Siberian Orchestra tonight with my mom, ~jankben, and my friend Ashley, ~Zakarius-Lucius-Rath. I'm pretty stinkin' excited considering this is my fourth year seeing them and they just released their new album, Night Castle, which has "O Fortuna" on it.

That song always gives me goosebumps.

Hey hey, guys. Your resident couchbomber here, and hating it. I moved out of my dad's and I now sleep on a futon in my mom's living room and I gotta say that it's not all that great.

Anyway, enough about that. Starbucks is going fantastically, though I never want to work a 4 AM shift ever again.

I'll be replying to comments very soon, I hope--I only have like, two hundred of them. I'm still aghast that I got a daily deviation AGAIN, haha!

*Fine-Primo's first mission ends on Sunday, and I'm going to be coordinating a little Christmas event. Not only will it be a chat event, but since the Christmas Exchange thing I did last year never invited me back, I'll probably coordinate a gift exchange there, too.

Christmas radio stations air in four days. :la:

Speaking of, I figured I might as well fill out one of these Christmas list thingies. Everyone else is doing it and while I don't feel like I deserve a whole lot, I suppose I'm better off requesting simple things than nothing at all. In fact, people can't grant some of these wishes.


THE BASICS: Write a Christmas/Holiday wish list. It can be any 10 wishes you'd like to have granted, no matter what they are. Possible or seemingly impossible. People look and grant the wishes if they can. It's not about "OMFG PRESENTS", it's about making someone else's holiday a little brighter by giving. Personally, I get more out of giving than receiving sometimes. It's just a good feeling to give.

STEP ONE

** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. In this case, you can always just note someone on dA.

** Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!

STEP TWO

** Surf around your friend list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

NOW LET'S SEE IT!

1. A comment on my page saying "Merry Christmas!" or "Happy Holidays!" I always love it when people around me celebrate a holiday that I hold a lot of love and adoration for.
2. A hug, virtual or otherwise.
3. Use the "random deviant" button and tell them Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays.
4. I want to work on Christmas Day and get some righteous overtime and tips.
5. E-cards. If you want to send me one, go ahead and note me asking me for my e-mail. I don't bite. :)
6. Commission those who need it. *phr34kish and ~Ranya-Ni are still accepting commissions, I think, so go take a look. They do indeed need it.
7. Now this I really don't deserve, because I still owe so much to people around me, friends and fans, but little sketches of my characters would be nice.
8. I want to watch A Christmas Story at least once a day throughout the month of December. I've already watched A Charlie Brown Christmas five times.
9. I want for my car to not die this season.
10. Finally, I want everyone to understand and follow the Golden Rule--do unto others as they shall do unto you. In other words, I believe in insta-karma, and if you treat someone like shit then you're going to be treated like shit. Just be nice to your neighbor and give a smile when you can.
